The Classic Couple: Sample Wedding Registry

There’s something beautiful about a classic wedding gift registry—two people, devoted to each other and to building a home that they’ll share and fill with memories.

And with Blueprint Registry, they can showcase their personal style and interests, too. Our favorite example of this kind of registry? Alisha & Vernon.

Even their love story is classic! Alisha, an HR representative, and Vernon, an HVAC technician and volunteer fireman, met while attending the same church. Because they’re waiting to move in until after the wedding, they’ll be furnishing their shared space from scratch. Their having a relatively large wedding: their 300 guests are comprised of not only school and church friends, but lots of older family members.

In addition to traditional home goods, they plan to add unique items from some of their local small-town boutiques, including vintage and personalized gifts. Vernon loves to cook, and Alisha loves to host dinner parties, so they’re focusing kitchen tools and serveware with their physical gifts. They’re also interested in adding some larger items, like living room furniture, though they admitted to feeling a bit guilty about the price point on a lot of those.

Does a classic gift registry sound right for you?

Questions + Considerations

Can you give me a firm number of gifts I should have? Two per guest. Moving in together after the wedding gives you ample opportunity to ask for gifts that match your vision for a home. Cash gifts are also a great way to account for multiple guests who can contribute.

Is there an additional fee when purchasing physical gifts with Blueprint? Not at all! Your guests will only pay the same cost that they would at the store. Being able to purchase a physical gift with Blueprint allows guests the opportunity to use coupons, sales, and membership perks as well.

What if we would like to list a few expensive items? Blueprint allows couples the ability to list expensive items as a “group gift.” This means that multiple guests may contribute to the overall price of a gift. We recommend including the cost of shipping for your gift in the total.

How do I share Blueprint Registry with my guests? Registrants may share their custom URL, or simply say that they are registered with Blueprint Registry.com.
