Sam and Emily are high school sweethearts. Emily is originally from Anchorage, Alaska. When she was nine years old, her family sold the house and bought a sailboat. They lived aboard the sailboat, traveling for three years. It was an incredible time full of adventure! Those three years came to a close when they ran into an unexpected storm, causing them to dock at the nearest harbor. They ended up at a marina in Fairhope, AL, and never left. Emily started at Fairhope High School in 2012. That’s where she met Sam! He was born and raised in Fairhope. They met in their Algebra 1 class when they were fifteen years old. He was the most beautiful boy she had ever seen. He never thought he stood a chance with her, but they became friends right away. They finally started dating during senior year. It was the first relationship Emily had wherein she felt no hesitation. Sam knew from the beginning that he was going to marry her someday. As they grew, life drew the two apart. They had ups and downs in their love story, as only the greatest of love stories do. Through university and the Navy, they always found their way back to each other. Part of them always knew they belonged and their hearts led them home. Seven years later, their relationship is harmonious and full of joy. Both of them could not imagine a more perfect companion. Both Emily and Sam love physical fitness, watching “The Office,” petting animals, traveling, listening to standup comedy, and exploring the outdoors. Both of them are committed to their faith and love their Heavenly Father and Mother.
