James and Neshia have known each other since they were children. Neshia saw James around Peabody as she played outside with his sister Tiffany. After middle school, life drew them apart, and they found each other again in 2014. However, that was short-lived. They both decided they were not ready to move forward, as they needed to rid themselves of their previous relationship's baggage. Towards the end of 2018, James began to interact with Neshia through social media by liking and commenting on her pictures on IG and Facebook. In 2019, he slid in her DMs. This time, they are both ready to receive each other. They both noted they were dateless for Valentine's and decided to hang out the night before since Neshia had to work on Valentine's Day. The rest is history. They have been inseparable since that time. James had a birthday gathering for Neshia's birthday on June 27, 2020. He surprised her with a proposal!! He had her to believe he bought her some Beats headphone that she had been hinting to him, but it was her engagement ring. She was taken away. They both love each other very much and are ready to be married. They chose 9/25/21 because 25 holds significance in their lives. The 25th date of February is James birthday, the 25th of March is Neshia's grandmother Betty's birthday (she has gained her wings), Neshia gave birth to Aaliyah the 25th of August, and Neshia enlisted in the Army the 25th of September.
