Katie and Anthony met in Brookings, South Dakota. Katie was earning her Master's degree at South Dakota State University while Anthony was working as a USA Hockey Referee all over the country. Their paths crossed ways a few days before St. Patrick's Day at a mutual friend's house. Anthony came up with a reason to come back to Brookings with the real intention of seeing Katie. One weekend, Katie decided to make the trip down to Anthony where he was stationed in Des Moines, IA. On that trip, the pair made things official. Once Katie finished her degree and Anthony left the USA Hockey program, they left the harsh winters behind them to start their life together in Anthony's hometown of Encinitas, CA. One Christmas Light Installation company and labrador retriever later, they're tying the knot!
