With those words, Kelly took the first step towards a weird guy comparing his looks to Kylie Jenner's on one of those new-fangled dating apps she was finally trying. He had moved back to his hometown Nashville within a month of her move there from Charleston, and they'd been circling each other in East Nashville without meeting that whole time. Somehow through his clumsy neurotic charm, Kelly agreed to meet up for brunch a week later -- before work, though, so she had an easy out. But she didn't need that easy out. She stayed up to the last minute before she had to leave. He couldn't stop thinking about her and how much they had connected, and so against everything Barney Stinson had taught him about dating, he texted her just a few hours later. They shared drinks a few days later, and made plans to see the Wonder Woman movie later that week. But then Kelly got deathly sick. Would she cancel her plans with this new guy? She hadn't seen him in a whole THREE DAYS! No. She'd weather the storm, deal with her awful illness, expose a whole movie theater to the plague that had befell her, to see this new man she was drawn to so intensely. They even saw each other again the next day. And they haven't spent more than three days apart while in the same city since.

A year and a half later, Brian sat at the Thanksgiving table surrounded by Kelly, her parents, her brothers and sisters-in-law and their children, and began to talk about what he was thankful for more than anything: Kelly. He got down on one knee and asked her to spend the rest of her life by his side. She said yes, through tears and surprise, and they are so excited to mark their commitment to each other with you December 7.
