We are so excited to have you as our guests at Leeward Air Ranch to celebrate our wedding!

Our Story

The Marcos and the Leewards are in a small niche of Warbird aviation, so our families were friends before we were even born... our parents went to the same airshows as we were growing up, and we even have a couple baby pictures together, even though we don't remember much from that young age! Throughout highschool and college, Allison and Michael attended the same airshows but never bumped into each other until the Thomasville Grassroots Fly-in in 2012. They met through mutual friends and Allison's brother, Ryan, who had done some aerobatic flying with Michael while they were in college near Daytona. Almost 6 months later, Allison and Michael met again at Sun N Fun: Florida's largest Fly-In and Airshow, which both of us had both been going to almost every year since they were born! They spent 5 fun days getting to know each other surrounded by aviation and their "airshow family” The proposal from her: I was certainly surprised! May 4th was a weekend that was promising great weather and Michael was so sneaky and sweet about trying to do whatever I wanted. We decided on a seaplane flying lesson before meeting our friends on the boat to hang out on the disappearing islands. I really never saw it coming, but looking back, when he was the one who suggested I use my gopros to film and record audio (which I normally love doing and he usually dislikes), I should have had a hint, but instead I was blissfully oblivious. After flying around and two good landings on the water in the seaplane, Michael the diligent instructor, asked me what I could have done to improve my landing. We were just floating there on the water as he said "okay, I'll stop bugging you with questions... I just have one more"...and as I looked over at him, he pulled out a little velvet box and asked me to marry him. and that's about all I remember... I'm not even sure if I said yes! I do remember saying that I wouldn't be able to fly home ...too many happy tears!
