When should I RSVP by?

Please RSVP no later than April 7th, 2021.

What COVID-19 precautions will be in place at the ceremony and reception?

This will be a very small wedding with a limited guest count. We are asking that all guests and vendors wear a mask when inside the Tea Room and when distance can not be maintained between guests or the vendors. We will also have hand sanitizer throughout the venue for guests to sanitize their hands. We also ask that all guests get a COVID-19 test before attending the event. Please have a negative test result no sooner than May 4th.

Do I need to get a COVID-19 test before attending the wedding?

Yes. We are asking all our guests to get a COVID-19 test before attending the wedding. Please have negative test results no sooner than May 4th.

Where can I get a COVID-19 test?

There are many facilities offering COVID-19 tests. For those guests who live in Maryland, you can find a testing center at https://coronavirus.maryland.gov/pages/symptoms-testing . For those who do not reside in Maryland, please check your state or local jurisdiction websites for testing centers. Many urgent care centers are offering PCR and rapid tests. Please check with your insurance provider. Some urgent care centers may charge you if you are not showing any symptoms or have been exposed to someone with the virus. There are also at home test you can order online, such as Pixel. You can order a Pixel test kit at https://www.pixel.labcorp.com/at-home-test-kits/covid-19-test-home-collection-kit .

What type of COVID-19 test should I get?

We recommend that you get a PCR test or a rapid test, however, please note that some rapid tests are not as accurate as the PCR test. Do not get an antibody test as a substitute.

Do I need to wear a mask?

Yes. We will enforce that all guests and vendors wear a mask while inside the Tea Room when they are not eating or drinking. Maryland State Parks requires this. We will also enforce that all guests and vendors wear a mask when social distancing can not be maintained.

I've been vaccinated. Do I still need to follow all of the COVID-19 precautions?

We ask that even those guests who have been vaccinated still wear and mask, maintain social distancing from other guests and vendors, and wash and sanitize their hands. Health experts still are not sure if people who are vaccinated can still spread the virus. You do not need to get a COVID-19 test.

I am not feeling well or am showing signs of COVID-19. Should I still attend?

No, please do not attend. If you can not make it due to illness or for other reasons, we can provide you with a link to the live stream of the ceremony and other events.

Can I bring a plus one?

No. Only guests who are directly invited can attend.

Will the ceremony be taking place indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony will be outdoors if weather permits. Gambrill State Park sits at a high elevation, so guests may want to wear something warm or bring a warm layer.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Yes.

Will there be dancing?

No. There will be a first dance between the married couple. We will have other activities such as yard games for guests to partake in.

Are there any local places you’d recommend I visit while I’m in town?

There are many great shops, restaurants, parks, and historical sites in Frederick and the surrounding area. Check out https://www.visitfrederick.org/ . The couple and their families will be staying for the weekend and planning some activities. Stay tuned for more information.
