Our Story

Ashley and Ed met in a very millennial way, on Hinge! Ashley had recently moved from D.C. to Philadelphia and decided to give the dating app a try. Ed had been looking for love on the app for a little while. When Ashley saw Ed's profile on the app she immediately noticed he was from Tewskbury, a neighboring town to her hometown. Ed saw that Ashley was a teacher, the same profession as his two sisters. After chatting on the app for a little while, they decided to grab drinks at Bru, a bar in Philly. They immediately hit it off, and discovered how many things they had in common. Both of their parents went to the same college (and met at college), their dad's grew up in the same town, and Ed's aunt was Ashley's elementary school gym teacher! They continued to get to know each other on long walks along the Schuylkill River and their connection continued to grow. Shortly after, Ed brought Ashley to his sister's annual Friendsgiving where she met his siblings, cousins, and friends. Ashley got the approval of the D'Armiento tribe and Ed knew she was a keeper. As time passed, Ed met Ashley's family and friends, they traveled together, and attended many D'Armiento family parties. Before they knew it, Ed was moving into Ashley's Philadelphia apartment and they were talking about getting engaged. When the pandemic hit, Ed and Ashley relocated to Ashley's parents house in NJ. Being the extreme planner Ed is, he had already purchased the ring and nothing, even a pandemic, was going to get in his way of proposing. In April of 2020 Ed surprised Ashley by proposing in her favorite place, LBI!
