Please note that since Full Moon Resort has a limited number of guest rooms, we cannot provide everyone with a room onsite. If you will be joining us for the full weekend and would like to stay onsite, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate. For our guests staying off-site, we have carefully selected a variety of options in the area to meet various needs.
While driving presents itself as the most convenient means of getting to the Catskills, there are ways via bus, train, and flights to get you to Albany or NYC. Driving from one of these locations will offer you the most accessibility to reach Full Moon.
*For Saturday evening's wedding festivities, transportation will be provided between Full Moon Resort and the locations listed below.
37 Alpine Road, Oliverea, NY 12410
The Alpine Inn (less than a mile from Full Moon) newly opened as a part of the esteemed Urban Cowboy family. Urban Cowboy currently requires a three-night minimum on the weekend. This location is definitely recommended for anyone looking to take advantage of a more upscale, romantic weekend getaway in the Catskills.
805 Oliverea Road, Big Indian, NY 12410
The Slide Mountain Forest House is located barely a mile down the road from Full Moon Resort. They have just over 22 rooms, however, all currently require a 2-night minimum. There is a wide variety of room style options from single rooms to multi-bedroom cabins. Some of these rooms have private baths and others may be shared between two rooms.
288 Main Street, Pine Hill, NY 12465
Pine Hill Arms is less than 15 minutes from Full Moon Resort. These rooms can be booked for a one night stay, so we recommend this hotel for only those people unable to come for the full weekend. Almost all of the rooms are priced at under $200.
8722 New York 28, Big Indian, NY 12410
The charming Starlite Motel, which comes highly recommended by Alan & Debbie Kuznick, is a 15 minute drive from our venue. It has 8 suites complete with kitchens, cable and other great amenities, all available for two night (minimum) rentals at under $150/night. The Starlite owners also have a 4 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom rental property nearby that is available for a larger group for both nights at the awesome rate of $375/ night.
11 Highlands Road, Pine Hill, NY 12441
The Gateway Lodge is a bed and breakfast located approximately 10 minutes from the Full Moon Resort. It has 11 rooms available, but unfortunately, is now operating on a two-night minimum. And while dogs are not welcome at the Full Moon Resort, the Gateway Lodge is pet friendly!
About 2.5hr drive: Take the New York State Thruway (87) North to Exit 19 ( Kingston ). Take Route 28 West (toward Pine Hill.) Travel approximately 30 miles on Route 28 West to Big Indian/Oliverea. Turn left onto County Route 47 (just after a brown sign on Route 28 which says Oliverea 3 miles). Proceed 5 miles south on Route 47. Full Moon is on the right.
About 1.5 hours from Albany: To get there via car take New York State Thruway (87) South towards New York City. Get off at Exit 19, Kingston. Then take Route 28 West (toward Pine Hill.) Travel approximately 30 miles on Route 28 West to Big Indian/Oliverea. Turn left onto County Route 47 (just after a brown sign on Route 28 which says Oliverea 3 miles). Proceed 5 miles south on Route 47. Full Moon is on the right.
