Megan is Nikki's sister from another (or same) family .... her closest companion, travel partner and sister-cousin. Resemblance seems to run deep as these girls get mistaken for sisters constantly when traveling the world together - and no wonder since their mothers (who are sisters only a couple years apart) look identical except for their hair color!
Bickering youngsters-turned-best friends, Megan will be the maid of honor - the one who knows Nikki probably better than herself.

Britney is Nikki's oldest friend - that is not blood-related. Raised as babies a mere five houses apart on Calle Serena, their parents' friendship led to a lifelong bond as little sports-enthusiasts and social butterflies. Playing soccer and softball together as kids and eventually sharing a deep love of volleyball kept them connected even though they lived counties apart for most of their lives - you could find them at the beaches of San Clemente as often as they could get together. Going on 29+ years of friendship!

Bernadette and Nikki met in the 5th grade and weathered good ole Catholic school as a pair, complete with Academic Decathlon and all the parochial league sports teams under the sun until venturing into San Clemente High School together. Bernie is the yin to Nikki's yang - and their extremely close friendship has continued through college and past living in San Francisco during the first years of adulthood to this new chapter back down in Southern California. BBKN wouldn't be complete without that second B!

Bailey and Nikki met in middle school through a local volleyball camp but only truly became inseparable once they made their freshman year high school volleyball team. They swore to be 'volleyball partners for life' and from that day forward, any loud activity or dance-centric-mayhem within their circle of friends most likely started with them. Bailey also lived in San Francisco for those formative years after college with Bernadette and Nikki and now is the other half of her heart across the continent in D.C. She also begins our force-to-be-reckoned with high school group - BBKN.

Kellie and Nikki became friends at the end of their freshman year of high school, and she is the K that completes our fabulous BBKN. Kellie and Nikki share a passion for all things fitness, beach and dog-centered. Recollecting beach runs in high school and weekends visiting each other at Berkeley and Cal Poly during college, the years apart never did away with their bond. Kellie easily convinced Nikki that a life in San Diego was the way to go and now they get to see each other all the time to cook and raise fur-children together!

Anne and Nikki met through Trevor's friend group at Cal Poly their senior year. As Orange County natives, both continued to live in San Luis Obispo for a fifth year of school as Anne continued her Master's degree and Nikki finished her Bachelor's. They moved into together in their first SF apartment after graduation and loved cooking dinners, exploring Sonoma wine country, finding all the beaches they could in the Bay Area and stalking the dogs in the North Beach neighborhood. They grew closer through almost four years as roommates in SF until Anne started her new life chapter in Washington state with her soon-to-be husband. Nikki now can't imagine her life without Anne in it!
